3M Versaflo TR-800-HIK Intrinsically Safe PAPR Kit, Hard Hat, OV/AG/HE Cartridge

The 3M Versaflo TR-800-HIK is an intrinsically safe PAPR kit for work where IS equipment is essential, such as pharmaceutical compounding or combustible gases in oil and gas. It combines the M-307 respiratory hard hat with a TR-6530N OV/AG/HE combination cartridge, and its TR-802N blower is UL certified intrinsically safe to Division 1, Classes I, II and III.

The combination cartridge helps protect against certain organic vapors, acid gases and particulates, hazards that can arise in chemical handling, pharmaceutical manufacturing and oil and gas refining. The blower's intrinsically safe rating follows UL 60079, 6th Edition, 2013, which can help lower the risk of fire or explosion, and it keeps working up to 16,000 ft above sea level. Before use, the user instructions must be read and understood and local regulations followed; in the United States a written respiratory protection program covering training, fit testing and medical evaluation is required under OSHA rules.

The rugged face shield uses a premium coated polycarbonate visor to help guard against sparks and debris, and the system delivers integrated respiratory, eye, face and head protection. Colored touchpoints keep operation intuitive, visual and audible alarms flag low flow, and the close-to-body fit leaves room to move in tight spaces during turnarounds and maintenance, on an adjustable belt with flexible air channels. Battery life is 4 to 8 hours, the kit includes two prefilters and two spark arrestors, and it is for industrial and occupational use only.
