Ellis 1600 Miter Band Saw, 10 in. Round, 1 HP 110/220V, Horizontal/Vertical
The Ellis 1600 miter band saw cuts 10 in. round, 8 in. pipe and 11 in. flat at 90°, and its head swings left or right so the stock stays in one position for every cut. A 1 HP, 110/220 V single-phase motor drives the blade at three speeds, and standard 10 in. wheels let the saw roll to the job site.
Angles are set on the built-in protractor, and a one-step conversion turns this horizontal band saw into a vertical one. At 45° it cuts 6-7/8 in. round, 6 in. pipe and 7-1/4 in. flat, or 8 in. H x 6 in. W. Feed is hydraulic and adjustable, a quick-adjusting camlock vise clamps the work, and shut-off is automatic.
Built from welded and machined heavy steel, the saw has a sealed oil bath worm gear and a removable chip tray as standard, and it takes a 10 ft x 1 in. blade running at 55, 115 or 230 FPM. The table stands 27 in. high, the saw measures 59 in. long, 24-3/4 in. wide and 47 in. high, and a 3-phase motor (220-440-460-480-575 V) is optional.
