Ellis 4000 Miter Band Saw, 13-1/2 in. Round, 22 in. Flat, 2 HP 220V

The Ellis 4000 is a heavy-duty miter head band saw: the head swings 45 degrees left or right while the material stays put, so long beams do not have to be repositioned for angle cuts. At 90° it cuts 13-1/2 in. round, 12 in. pipe, 22 in. flat and 13 in. H x 16 in. W tube, powered by a 2 HP, 220 V single-phase motor.

Angles are picked on the built-in protractor, and a quick-adjusting screw-type vise speeds the change from one job to the next. Blade speed is variable from 60 to 180 FPM, feed control is hydraulic and adjustable, the drive is a sealed oil bath worm gear, and shut-off is automatic. At 45° capacity is 13-1/2 in. round, 12 in. pipe, 14 in. flat or 13 in. square tube.

This metal-cutting band saw is aimed at contractors who work with heavy material. Its 1250 lbs construction of welded and machined heavy steel is meant to keep vibration down and accuracy up. A 15 ft x 1-1/4 in. blade, a removable chip tray and an air system come with the saw, and table height is 29-3/8 in.
