ESAB Rebel EMP 205ic AC/DC Multiprocess Welder
The Rebel EMP 205ic AC/DC is a portable multiprocess welder that covers MIG, flux-cored, stick, DC TIG and AC TIG, so aluminum can be TIG welded. It runs on 120 V or 230 V single-phase power and weighs 49 lbs.
AC TIG offers a frequency range of 25 to 400 Hz and a balance range of 60 to 90%, plus high-frequency starts, expanded balance and offset control, and dual current. DC TIG adds a pulse mode from 0.1 to 500 PPS, again with dual current. Stick welding covers 6010 electrodes.
sMIG, ESAB's smart-MIG feature, tunes itself to the operator's technique to hold a steady arc. Basic mode reduces setup to wire diameter and material thickness, and advanced mode exposes the full set of arc characteristics. The multilingual TFT display also provides trim, inductance, pre- and post-flow and spot weld settings, and each process can store four settings in programmable memory.
