ESAB Renegade VOLT EMP 200i Battery-Powered Multiprocess Welder

The Renegade VOLT EMP 200i is a cordless, battery-powered multiprocess welder for stick and DC TIG, with MIG welding possible through a spool gun. Battery operation suits mobile work far from a power supply, and the welder also accepts 115 V or 230 V AC input.

The standard package includes four 12 Ah DEWALT FLEXVOLT batteries, enough for up to 33 E6013 electrodes per charge, and 6 Ah or 9 Ah FLEXVOLT batteries also work. AMP+ Hybrid Mode combines battery power with the AC supply, which keeps smaller breakers from nuisance tripping and can raise output on a 120 V input.

Stick duty cycle is 25% at 200 A on 230 V, 18% at 140 A in battery mode and 25% at 200 A in 230 V hybrid mode. Controls include memory storage, hot start, arc force and a 6010 cellulosic mode, and the color screen shows battery status and a remaining arc time calculation. The welder weighs 54 lbs with batteries installed; TIG welding is DC only, so aluminum cannot be TIG welded.
