The ESAB Rogue ET 230iP AC/DC is a water-cooled AC/DC TIG welder package built around an integrated Coolmini 3 water cooler and a 13 ft SR 20 water-cooled TIG torch, with stick capability as well. It runs on 120 V or 230 V, offers pulse to 200 Hz and four selectable AC waveforms, and delivers 15-230 A AC TIG on 230 V from a 42 lb power source.
The four customizable AC waveshapes (square, soft square, sinusoidal and triangle) tune heat input for deep penetration on thicker metal or low distortion on thin sheet, and the dual current mode switches between two output levels to control heat input and weld pool size. A built-in PFC circuit keeps the arc stable on extended cables up to 300 ft, and the TIG torch trigger calls up saved weld settings.
A 5-inch color TFT display with a configurable home screen and visible tungsten diameter makes adjustments quick, and the machine handles a wide range of thicknesses down to very thin plate. The package includes the power source with 10 ft power cord, a 10 ft Tweco 200 A electrode holder, a 10 ft Tweco ground clamp with leads, a spare torch parts kit, a 15 ft wired foot control, a Victor argon/CO2 flowmeter regulator with 6 ft hose and a 230 V plug with 120 V adapter. Generator requirement is 3.3 kVA on 120 V or 6 kVA on 230 V.
