The ESAB Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 50+ plasma cutter is a hand-held air plasma cutter for 120-240 V single-phase power, with automatic voltage detection that sets maximum output to 25 A on 120 V or 50 A on 240 V. It pierces 5/8 in. (16 mm), cuts 1 in. (25 mm) and severs 1 1/4 in. (32 mm), includes the SL60 1Torch and has a CNC-ready CPC port.
On 240 V power the cutter runs 50 A at a 50% duty cycle. It works with clean, dry, oil-free compressed air (ISO 8573-1 Class 1.2.2) or 99.95% pure nitrogen at 90-125 psi and 300-500 cfh. A 4.3 in. (10.9 cm) TFT LCD screen and a glove-friendly knob handle settings, normal and grate modes are selectable, and a post-cut air purge extends consumable life. For CNC plasma cutting, a 14-pin CPC receptacle and voltage divider come pre-installed, providing start/stop, OK-to-move and divided arc voltage at 20:1, 30:1, 40:1, 50:1 or 80:1.
The SL60 1Torch comes on a 16 ft lead with a 2T/4T function, a safety trigger lock and a double-tap trigger that conserves bottled air, and its ATC connection accepts an extra 25 ft or 50 ft lead. Cutmaster Black Series consumables are included for up to 60% longer life, and the work cable uses a standard 25 mm Dinse connection. A weatherproof three-handle case protects the 38.6 lb (17.5 kg) unit in a job box or work truck and helps organize cables; it measures 18.3 x 7.9 x 12.4 in. with an IP23S rating and the cETLus mark.
