The ESAB Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 70+ plasma cutter is a portable hand-held air plasma cutter for 120-240 V single-phase power that delivers 70 A at a 40% duty cycle on 240 V. It pierces 3/4 in. (20 mm), cuts 1-1/8 in. (30 mm) and severs 1-1/2 in. (38 mm), and the package includes a 16 ft SL60 1Torch, a work cable, a spare parts kit and power adapters.
Automatic input voltage detection sets the maximum output for the connected supply, and the package adds a 50 A to 20 A and a 20 A to 15 A power adapter. A 4.3 in. (10.9 cm) TFT LCD screen with a glove-friendly knob handles settings, normal and grate cutting modes are selectable, and a post-cut air purge extends consumable life. For CNC plasma cutting, a 14-pin CPC receptacle and voltage divider come pre-installed, giving start/stop, OK-to-move and divided arc voltage at 20:1, 30:1, 40:1, 50:1 or 80:1.
Besides the cutter and the 16 ft SL60 1Torch, the box holds a spare parts kit, a clamped work cable with a male Dinse connector, a digital meter, a quick-connect 1/4 in. NPT air fitting and the operator's manual, plus general cutting and gouging consumables. The torch has a 2T/4T function, a safety trigger lock and a double-tap trigger that saves air, and its ATC connection accepts an extra 25 ft or 50 ft lead. The unit weighs 39 lbs in a weatherproof three-handle case and suits hobby, fabrication, automotive body, HVAC, pipeline and agricultural equipment work.
