The Generac Next Gen 10kW is a home standby generator with built-in cellular connectivity, so the owner can monitor performance and control the generator through Mobile Link at home or away. Electronic fuel and ignition control manages fuel use for lower emissions than Guardian Series units on average, and oil level sensors help keep it ready to run.

Remote diagnostics watch the generator's performance to help catch issues early, and Mobile Link sends real-time updates and maintenance alerts, which require a Mobile Link premium subscription. Long service intervals cut the time spent on maintenance, and improved cold start performance helps the backup generator start in cold climates.

Its sloped roof and rear air intake make it harder for snow and ice to get into the enclosure. The generator also works with Generac PWRcell battery systems and ecobee by Generac thermostats, so home energy can be monitored and controlled together.
