Generac Next Gen 24kW Home Standby Generator, Natural Gas/LP, Built-In Cellular
The Generac Next Gen 24kW is an automatic home standby generator that connects to an existing LP or natural gas supply for whole-house backup power. It senses a power loss, starts by itself within seconds and runs until utility power returns, and built-in cellular connectivity enables monitoring and control in the Mobile Link app from home or away.
During an outage the generator keeps refrigeration, heating and cooling, lights and device connectivity running, so the household avoids the usual disruption. Mobile Link delivers real-time updates and maintenance alerts to the owner's device; these require a Mobile Link premium subscription. Oil level sensors help ensure the generator is ready.
Improved cold start performance supports start-up in cold climates, and the sloped roof and rear intake reduce the risk of ice or snow intrusion. The backup generator works with Generac PWRcell battery systems and ecobee by Generac thermostats as part of the Generac home energy ecosystem, and Generac recommends installation by a certified and licensed electrician.
