Generac Protector 60kW Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator, Dual Fuel, 50-State
The Generac Protector 60kW is a liquid-cooled, dual-fuel standby generator designed for whole-house coverage, starting automatically during outages and running on propane or natural gas. Its 4.5L DOHC 4-cylinder Generac engine turns at 1800 RPM, the unit is 50-state rated to California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions standards, and built-in cellular connectivity supports Mobile Link monitoring.
TruePower Technology delivers clean power for appliances and sensitive electronics, and surge capacity handles large loads. The Evolution controller can be read and operated with the enclosure closed, and its LCD display tracks maintenance intervals. Quiet-Test runs a five- or twelve-minute self-test at a lower, quieter RPM while using less fuel, programmable weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
Fuel reaches the engine through dual valves at ultra-low pressure, intelligent engine controls maintain efficiency across temperature ranges and elevations, and the engine connects directly to the propane or natural gas line, so it never needs refueling. Noise measures 68 dBA from 23 feet, and the compact footprint and neutral design blend into the landscape. Although the unit is 50-state rated, local city, county or parish regulations may take precedence over state rules.
