Generac Protector 80kW Standby Generator, 120/240V 3-Phase, Dual Fuel, RG08045C

The Generac Protector 80kW is a liquid-cooled automatic standby generator supplied as a 120/240V 3-phase unit, running on liquid propane or natural gas through its 4.5L DOHC 4-cylinder Generac engine. Suited to small and medium-sized businesses as well as larger homes, it detects power loss and takes over within seconds, is 50-state rated to CARB standards, and reports status through Mobile Link.

During an outage it keeps pumps, heating and air conditioning, electronics, appliances and lights running. The Evolution controller can be seen and used with the enclosure closed, and its LCD display tracks maintenance intervals. Quiet-Test runs a five- or twelve-minute self-test at a lower, quieter RPM to confirm the system works while using less fuel, and it can be set for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly runs.

The package holds one beige Protector 80kW automatic standby unit configured 120/240 3Ø and marked SCAQMD. Noise measures 68 dBA from 23 feet, and the engine takes fuel straight from a propane or natural gas system through dual valves at ultra-low pressure, so it never needs refueling.
