Generac Protector 80kW Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator, Dual Fuel, RG08045X
The Generac Protector 80kW is a liquid-cooled, dual-fuel standby generator for small and medium-sized businesses as well as larger homes, running on natural gas or LP through its 4.5L DOHC 4-cylinder Generac engine. It detects an outage and restores power within seconds, is 50-state rated to CARB emissions standards, and reports its status to a smartphone, tablet or computer through Mobile Link.
Once running, it keeps lights, appliances, HVAC systems, electronics and pumps powered. The Evolution controller can be read and operated with the enclosure closed, with an LCD display for tracking maintenance intervals, and Quiet-Test runs a five- or twelve-minute self-test at a lower, quieter RPM on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule. Noise is 68 dBA from 23 feet.
The all-aluminum enclosure carries a RhinoCoat powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance in all weather conditions. It can go in as close as 18 inches to a structure, which suits tight lot lines, and the small footprint and neutral styling fit into landscaping. Its engine draws fuel through dual valves at ultra-low pressure, straight from the propane or natural gas supply.
