Generac Protector 60kW Natural Gas Standby Generator, 2.4L 3600 RPM, No Catalyst
The Generac Protector 60kW is a liquid-cooled natural gas standby generator from the RG Series with a high-speed 2.4L engine at 3600 RPM, supplied without a catalyst and not field convertible. TruePower Technology keeps total harmonic distortion under 5%, and it has the Evolution controller, a Quiet-Test self-test and Mobile Link monitoring.
This 2.4L 60kW model has no catalyst. A catalyst is offered on the 4.5L 60kW models, and California and Massachusetts installations require it. The engine is designed and built by Generac exclusively for generator use, drawing on a design first created for Generac industrial applications.
On 22-100kW models the Evolution controller provides a multi-line display for tracking maintenance intervals, and standard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity supports Mobile Link monitoring for the owner and Fleet monitoring for the servicer. Quiet-Test runs a five-minute self-test at a lower, quieter RPM, programmable weekly, biweekly or monthly, and the all-aluminum enclosure has a corrosion-resistant RhinoCoat powder-coated finish.
