Generac Protector 50kW Diesel Standby Generator, 1-Phase, 1800 RPM, RD05033
The Generac Protector 50 kW diesel standby generator is a single-phase-only model running at 1800 rpm, built for residential and light commercial backup power. It restores power within seconds of an outage and is managed by an Evolution controller with a multilingual two-line LCD display and color-coded, backlit buttons.
An isochronous electronic governor gives tight load response with voltage regulation of +/- 1% plus frequency regulation. Mobile Link comes standard on Protector Series RD diesel models, so the operating status and maintenance schedule can be viewed on a smartphone, tablet or PC, and Quiet-Test mode runs the weekly self-test at a reduced, quieter RPM.
Code Ready pairs preconfigured options with code-driven accessories to help this diesel backup generator conform to local building and zoning codes. It covers external vent and fill, a double-walled base tank with a UL/CUL 142 safety listing and a UL/CUL 2200 safety listing for the generator. An external viewing window shows generator status and breaker position, and removable doors give access for service and fuel filling.
