The Hobart IronMan 240 MIG Welder with SpoolRunner 200 Spool Gun pairs the heavy-duty 240 V wire feed welder with a SpoolRunner 200 for aluminum welding. The welder handles mild steel up to 1/2 in. thick, needs no additional interface for the spool gun, and rides on built-in running gear with a cylinder rack.
Run-in technology slows the wire feed to a preset speed just before arc initiation for smooth, spatter-free starts, and infinite wire feed control fine-tunes penetration and bead shape in MIG (GMAW). The reversible drive roll has two grooves for two wire sizes, a hinged feeder panel gives easier access for spool and feed roll changes, and the spool hub takes 4- or 8-inch spools.
Along with the SpoolRunner 200, the package includes a 15 ft 200 A MIG gun, a 10 ft work cable with clamp, a regulator/flow gauge with a 5 ft gas hose, a primary input cable with plug, a 0.030/0.035 in. dual-groove drive roll, 0.030 in. and 0.035 in. contact tips, and a weld, setup and parts information chart. Fan-On-Demand cooling runs only when needed, reducing power use and the contaminants drawn into the machine.
