The Hypertherm Powermax105 SYNC plasma cutter with 50 ft 180° machine torch and remote is a professional air plasma system that cuts and gouges up to 1-1/4 in. (32 mm) on 200-600 V, 3-phase power, set up here for mechanized cutting. The power source has a CPC port, and the package adds a remote on/off pendant, a 50 ft work clamp and mechanized cartridges.
RFID-enabled SmartSYNC torches set up the process automatically, and the single-piece cartridge consumable tracks its own usage data. End-of-life detection on both the torch and the power source shows when to change a cartridge, and a used-up cartridge stays flagged as spent, so it cannot be reused by mistake; detection is disabled with a Fine Cut hand cutting cartridge, below 40 A on any cartridge, or below 55 A when the cartridge is not communicating. Travel speed is 20 ipm on 1-1/4 in. metal, with air recommended at 85 psi (5.9 bar) and 460 scfh (7.7 scfm).
Each SmartSYNC torch has an internal cap sensor that confirms the cartridge is seated, a reader that relays the RFID chip data to the power source, ready-state LEDs on the handle and a 7-step amperage LED for choosing one of seven presets. A torch lock switch permits consumable changes while the power supply stays on. The box holds the power source with CPC port, the 50 ft 180° SmartSYNC machine torch and work clamp, a remote on/off pendant, two 105 A and one 85 A mechanized cartridges and the manuals. The power source weighs 88 lbs and measures 23.3 x 10.8 x 20 in. (L x W x H).
