The Hypertherm Powermax125 plasma cutter package has a 1-1/2 in. rated cut and a 2-1/4 in. severance cut, with 30-125 A of output and a 100% duty cycle, and runs on 480-600 V, 3-phase power only. It comes with a 50 ft 180° Duramax Hyamp machine torch and a 25 ft 85° Duramax Hyamp hand torch, plus a CPC port, a voltage divider and a 25 ft on/off remote pendant.

Also in the box are a 50 ft ground lead, a mechanized consumables kit (851475, Ohmic clip not included), an air filter (128647) and the user manual. The 10 ft power cord comes without a plug. Weight is 105 lbs with the 25 ft torch, and the unit measures 23.3 x 10.8 x 20 in. (L x W x H). On an engine drive, plan for 40 kW for the full 125 A output, or 15 kW for limited output at 60 A.

Smart Sense technology adjusts gas pressure automatically, and Boost Conditioner and Spring Start technologies are built in. Drag cutting works at full output and leaves less dross, and the Duramax torches are built to withstand impact and heat. With one hand torch and one machine torch, the same plasma cutter covers freehand cutting and gouging as well as mechanized plasma cutting.
