Hypertherm Powermax30 XP Mechanized Plasma Cutter, 15 ft Machine Torch, 120/240V

The Hypertherm Powermax30 XP Mechanized plasma cutter is the machine-torch version of the Powermax30 XP, built for low-cost, light-duty hobby cutting tables. It delivers 15-30 A on 120 V or 240 V single-phase power and comes with a 180° Duramax LT machine torch on a 15 ft lead that uses existing Duramax LT consumables.

Its two-in-one design combines high-power cutting of thick metal with FineCut consumables that leave a clean edge and narrow kerf on thin metal. It cuts any electrically conductive metal, including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum, and it can also gouge. Auto-Voltage technology and the supplied plug adapters let it run from 120 V or 240 V outlets, with a 35% duty cycle on 240 V and 20% on 120 V.

The kit holds the power supply, the machine torch with a 15 ft lead and a 15 ft work clamp, a 240 V/20 A plug with adapters for 120 V/15 A and 240 V/20 A circuits, one nozzle, one electrode, a FineCut nozzle and deflector, and the manuals. The CSA unit weighs 21.4 lbs with its 15 ft torch and measures 14.0 x 6.6 x 12.0 in. It runs on clean, dry, oil-free air or nitrogen at 4 scfm and 80 psi (5.5 bar), and an engine drive needs 5.5 kW for the full 30 A.
