Hypertherm Powermax65 SYNC Plasma Cutter, 25 ft 75° and 15° Hand Torches, 083347
The Hypertherm Powermax65 SYNC plasma cutter in this hand-cutting package comes with two SmartSYNC hand torches, a 75° and a 15°, each on a 25 ft lead, and it cuts and gouges up to 3/4 in. (20 mm). It runs on 200-600 V single- or three-phase power and includes a 25 ft work clamp, two 65 A drag cartridges and two 45-65 A Max Control gouging cartridges.
This power source has no CPC port for automated hookup, so the package is set up for handheld plasma cutting and gouging. Each SmartSYNC torch picks up the RFID data on its single-piece cartridge and passes it to the power source, which sets up the process automatically. A sensor in the torch cap checks that the cartridge is seated properly, LEDs on the handle show when the system is ready, and a seven-step amperage LED offers seven presets. A torch lock switch lets the operator swap consumables while the power supply stays on, and a safety trigger guards against accidental starts.
The power source weighs 54 lbs and measures 19.7 x 9.2 x 17.9 in. (L x W x H). Travel speed is 20 ipm on 3/4 in. metal, and the recommended air supply is 85 psi (5.9 bar) at 400 scfh (6.7 scfm). The color-coded cartridges come in hand, gouging, mechanized/stand-off and FlushCut/HyAccess types, and consumable life data is tracked. Both the torch and the power source detect a worn-out cartridge, which then stays flagged as spent and cannot be used again.
