The Hypertherm Powermax125 plasma cutter hand system pairs the 600 V, 3-phase CSA power supply with an 85° hand torch on a 50 ft (15.2 m) lead, consumables for the torch and a CPC port. It puts out 30-125 A of cutting current and runs at a 100% duty cycle for continuous hand cutting and fast gouging of thick metal.

Built for 600 V, 3-phase, 50/60 Hz input, this hand plasma cutter carries CSA certification for the Americas and Asia (China excepted) and uses an IGBT inverter power supply with a 175 VDC rated output voltage. It measures 23.3 x 10.8 x 20.0 in. (D x W x H) with handles. The 104.7 lbs weight applies with a 25 ft torch fitted, not with the 50 ft lead on this package's torch.

Smart Sense technology adjusts the gas pressure automatically, and the air plasma cutter runs on clean, dry, oil-free air or nitrogen. Besides hand cutting and plasma gouging, the Powermax125 offers a 1 in. (25 mm) mechanized pierce capability and works with eleven Duramax Hyamp torch styles that cover X-Y table cutting, robotic work, portable automation and extended-reach cutting. On an engine drive, 40 kW is needed for the full 125 A output.
