The Hypertherm Powermax30 XP plasma cutter is a portable 30 A system that cuts and gouges mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other conductive metals on 120 V or 240 V power. This complete kit adds a 75° Duramax LT hand torch on a 15 ft lead, a 15 ft work clamp, a plastic carry case, leather gloves and shade 5 glasses.

Recommended cut capacity is 3/8 in. (10 mm) at 20 ipm, 1/2 in. (12 mm) cuts run at 10 ipm, and severance reaches 5/8 in. (16 mm) at 5 ipm. On 120 V input, use the FineCut nozzle and deflector; at the 25 A maximum recommended output there, it cuts 1/4 in. at 19 ipm, 3/8 in. at 8 ipm and 1/2 in. at 3 ipm. Duty cycle is 35% on 240 V and 20% on 120 V.

Auto-Voltage technology and plug adapters for 120 V/15 A and 240 V/20 A circuits let this dual-voltage plasma cutter run from a household outlet or a 240 V circuit. The consumable kit (851479) pairs a standard nozzle and electrode with a FineCut nozzle and deflector for thin metal, and a carrying strap is included. The CSA unit weighs 21.4 lbs with its 15 ft torch and needs a 5.5 kW engine drive for the full 30 A.
