This Hypertherm Powermax45 SYNC plasma cutter power supply is the 480 V CSA version, supplied as the power supply alone. The SYNC system cuts, gouges and marks with single-piece cartridges, and RFID chips in the SmartSYNC torches and cartridges choose the right amperage and operating mode on their own, which removes setup errors.

Each cartridge is laser-marked and color-coded by process to avoid mix-ups, the system detects when a cartridge reaches end of life, and cartridge usage data helps manage consumable inventory and improve cutting operations. Hypertherm rates the optimized cartridge design at up to twice the life of standard consumables in handheld cutting, with better quality over life in mechanized setups.

Torch styles swap easily, and application-specific cartridges cover different cutting and gouging jobs. Hand torches use a flexible lead that reduces operator fatigue while keeping the toughness of the earlier lead jacket. The SmartSYNC torches are built for rugged industrial work, and SpringStart technology gives consistent starts and a more reliable torch.
