Hypertherm Powermax45 SYNC Plasma Cutter, 25 ft Machine Torch, Remote Pendant

The Hypertherm Powermax45 SYNC plasma cutter machine system combines a 180° machine torch on a 25 ft lead, a CPC communication port and an on/off remote pendant. Single-piece cartridges and RFID torch communication handle setup automatically, and the 230 V CSA unit delivers 9-45 A with a 5/8 in. (16 mm) recommended cut on aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.

Input is 200-240 V single-phase at 50-60 Hz, drawing 39/32 A at 200-230 V, and a motor generator needs 12.5 kVA or 10 kW for the full arc. Recommended cutting is 5/8 in. (16 mm) at 20 ipm, and hand-cutting severance is 1-1/8 in. (29 mm) at 5 ipm. It has a CPC communication interface port and divided arc voltage ratios of 20:1, 21.1:1, 30:1, 40:1 and 50:1.

Laser-marked, color-coded cartridges are easy to tell apart by process, the system detects end-of-life cartridges, and cartridge usage data helps with inventory control. The power supply is an IGBT inverter with a 275 VDC open circuit voltage, an IP23S rating and a 10 ft (3 m) power cable, and it measures 17.4 x 6.8 x 14.0 in. with handle. Platforms span automated, robotic, XY, pipe-and-tube and handheld cutting.
