JET J-2500 15 in. Floor Drill Press, 16-Speed, 3/4 HP, 115/230V, 354400

The JET J-2500 is a 15 in. belt-drive floor drill press with a 3/4 HP single-phase motor for 115/230 V and 16 spindle speeds from 200 to 3,630 RPM. It drills to the center of a 15 in. circle, takes holes up to 5/8 in. in cast iron and 1/2 in. in mild steel, and carries a cast iron head on a large ground steel column.

Four permanently lubricated ball bearings support the enclosed spindle assembly for precision, and the large quill adds accuracy. Spindle travel is 3-3/8 in. with an MT-2 taper, a telescoping guard covers the spindle, and the column measures 2-7/8 in. across. The whole machine is built as a solid platform for drilling.

The 11-1/2 x 11-1/2 in. table has three 5/8 in. T-slots and 24 in. of travel, with up to 24 in. between spindle and table and 48 in. from spindle to base. The table holds up to 44 lbs, and this 15 in. drill press measures 31 x 13 x 63 in. overall and weighs 167 lbs.
