The Lincoln Electric AlumaFab Aluminum MIG Welder, Air-Cooled Package (K6013-1), is an industrial aluminum MIG welding system that integrates a three-phase power source with a push-pull feeder for pulsed MIG (GMAW-P) on aluminum alloys. It delivers 5-425 A on 460/575 V, is rated 300 A at 100% duty cycle and weighs approximately 330 lbs.

Waveform control adjusts pulse width, pulse frequency, background current and peak current independently for each aluminum wire alloy and diameter, and pulsed MIG helps avoid the spatter and lack-of-fusion problems common with conventional short-circuit MIG on aluminum. Rated output is 300 A at 29 V and 100% duty cycle or 350 A at 31.5 V and 60%, and the 425 A maximum supports spray transfer on 3/4 in. and thicker 6061 plate with 3/64 in. ER5356 wire and 75/25 Ar/He shielding.

The synchronized push-pull drive, with a push motor in the cabinet and a pull motor at the gun, holds consistent wire tension over the full 25 ft cable, even with soft 4043 and 5356 aluminum wire from 0.035 in. to 1/16 in. Wire feed speed runs 50-800 IPM, drive rolls for 0.035 in. and 3/64 in. wire come installed, and this package uses an air-cooled push-pull gun. Applications include structural aluminum fabrication, marine, aerospace and transportation work. Shielding gas (100% Ar or 75/25 Ar/He) and a gas regulator are not included.
