Lincoln Electric AlumaFab Aluminum MIG Welder, Push-Pull, Water-Cooled, 460/575V
The Lincoln Electric AlumaFab Aluminum MIG Welder, Water-Cooled Package (K6014-1), is an industrial aluminum MIG welding system pairing a three-phase power source with an integrated push-pull feeder for pulsed MIG (GMAW-P) on aluminum alloys. It delivers 5-425 A on 460/575 V and is rated 300 A at 100% duty cycle, with a water-cooled push-pull gun.
Pulse width, pulse frequency, background current and peak current are each controlled independently for every aluminum wire alloy and diameter, and pulsed MIG helps avoid the spatter and lack-of-fusion problems common with conventional short-circuit MIG on aluminum. The system is rated 300 A at 29 V and 100% duty cycle or 350 A at 31.5 V and 60%, and at its 425 A maximum it runs spray transfer on 3/4 in. and thicker 6061 plate with 3/64 in. ER5356 wire and 75/25 Ar/He gas.
A synchronized push motor in the cabinet and pull motor at the gun keep wire tension steady along the 25 ft cable with soft 4043 and 5356 aluminum wire from 0.035 in. to 1/16 in., and wire feed speed covers 50-800 IPM. Drive rolls for 0.035 in. and 3/64 in. wire are installed, and applications include marine, aerospace and transportation manufacturing as well as structural aluminum fabrication. The water cooler, shielding gas (100% Ar or 75/25 Ar/He) and gas regulator are not included.
