Quantity

The Lincoln Electric Aspect 230 AC/DC is an inverter TIG welder for AC/DC TIG and stick welding, with up to 230 A of output for aluminum, stainless, titanium and carbon steel. It delivers 5-230 A DC TIG and 5-200 A AC TIG, starts the arc with high frequency, and saves custom setups in up to nine memory locations.

AC TIG controls include adjustable AC frequency from 20 to 200 Hz and AC balance from 10 to 90% electrode negative, the AC output is rated at a 40% duty cycle at 200 A, and the optional AC Auto Balance sets the mix of cleaning and penetration automatically for aluminum welding. Aluminum up to 1/4 in. thick is within its TIG range, and pulse runs from 0.1 to 500 Hz.

High-frequency start works in both AC and DC TIG, with Lift-Arc available on DC where HF interference is a concern. Intellistart adapts arc starts to material thickness, softer on thin material to limit distortion and hotter on thick sections, while advanced waveforms, a full sequencer and post-flow gas from 0 to 25 sec fine-tune each weld. Output terminals are Dinse-style 35-50, the unit carries CSA and CE marks, and a 10 ft (3 m) input power cord is included.
