Lincoln Electric Flex Feed 84 Boom Mount Wire Feeder One-Pak, Single Wire Drive

The Lincoln Electric Flex Feed 84 boom wire feeder One-Pak pairs a single wire drive with a controller and a separate user interface (UI). It feeds MIG (GMAW) and flux-cored wire at 50 to 750 ipm, handles solid wire to 3/32 in. and cored wire to 0.120 in., and carries a 600 A rating.

The four-roll MaxTrac drive uses a rugged cast aluminum feed plate, tool-less drive rolls and tool-less split wire guides that prevent birdnesting, so feeding stays consistent over long conduit runs. Gun adapters make solid electrical connections that cut voltage drop, the wire drive circuit board is encapsulated against the elements, and the system runs on 24-42 VAC with a 14-pin analog connection to the power source and a Tweco #2-#4 gun bushing.

Voltage and wire feed speed are preset digitally, up to four procedures can be saved in user memories, process limits can be locked with a passcode, and the display shows actual voltage and current while welding. A selectable wire retract draws the wire back into the nozzle, which helps prevent operator injury. It carries CSA and UL safety listings, and typical applications are heavy fabrication and structural fabrication.
