Lincoln Electric Frontier 400X Ready-Pak 2 Welder Generator, Perkins

The Lincoln Electric Frontier 400X Ready-Pak 2 (Perkins, K3484-1-RP2) mounts the diesel welder generator on a trailer with integrated lights and forklift pockets, preassembled at the factory as one rent-ready package. It delivers up to 400 A (IEC rated 325 A) of DC multi-process welding and 11 kW of continuous three-phase power from a 24.7 hp Perkins engine.

Ready-Pak 2 is made up of the welder and its trailer, which carries integrated lights and forklift pockets. The turbocharged Perkins 403F-15T diesel meets EPA Tier 4 Final, starts well in cold weather and performs at high altitude, and a 20 gal. (75.7 L) fuel tank works with Auto-Stop/Start to limit idling. Auxiliary power is available at 240 VAC three-phase as well as 120/240 VAC single-phase.

Six optimized CC and CV modes plus STT, pulsed MIG, pulsed TIG and mechanized-equipment modes cover welding and carbon arc gouging. A bright 7 in. digital interface keeps weld memories, maintenance reminders and optional PIN authorization, CrossLinc allows voltage or current control at the arc through the weld cable, True Voltage Technology (TVT) offsets voltage drop, and patented Chopper Technology is built in.
