Lincoln Electric Flex Lase Handheld Laser Welder, 2 kW, Wire Feeder, Cart, 230V
The Lincoln Electric Flex Lase handheld laser welder Ready-Pak is a complete 2 kW laser welding system: the Flex Lase 20 power source, a handheld laser welding gun, the Flex Feed 25L wire feeder, an industrial cart and laser-rated safety gear. It runs on 230 V single-phase power and welds stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum from 18 gauge (1 mm) to 8 gauge (4 mm).
Laser output adjusts from 200 to 2,000 W, and presets cover copper, galvanized steel, aluminum, carbon steel and stainless steel. A toggle on the gun switches between autogenous fusion welding and wire-fed welding with 0.035 in. to 1/16 in. solid wire, and the Flex Feed 25L, built on the Power Feed 25M platform with a two-gear MAXTRAC drive, also supports HyperFill twin-wire welding. A glove-friendly 7 in. touchscreen stores up to 32 presets, and a visible red guide laser marks the weld path.
Because the Flex Lase 20 contains a Class 4 laser, it may only be used inside an approved Class 1 laser-safe enclosure, a qualified Laser Safety Officer on site must review the setup, and every operator needs laser-rated PPE; the kit supplies two pairs of laser-rated safety glasses and a laser-rated helmet. First use requires equipment registration and a signed Laser Safety Acknowledgement. The 246 lb (111.5 kg) Ready-Pak also includes drive rolls, contact tips, a gas adapter, a gas filter assembly and 10 spare protective lenses; shielding gas and filler wire are not included.
