Lincoln Electric Flextec 335XS Multiprocess Welder, Tweco

The Flextec 335XS from Lincoln Electric is a 50 lb multiprocess power source for shipbuilding, repair and field welding. It has no controls on its front panel and is meant to be used only with CrossLinc accessories and ArcLink wire feeders, which also bring synergic pulse. This version is the Tweco configuration.

When an accessory is connected, Process Select Assist picks the matching weld mode, so the operator has fewer settings to make. CrossLinc accessories let the operator adjust the machine from the arc, and ArcLink communication ties the power source to compatible feeders for synergic pulse welding.

Weld processes covered are stick, MIG, flux-cored, TIG and gouging. Pulse MIG is possible with compatible ArcLink wire feeders, and the Activ8X Pipe feeder adds STT Field capability. Handling is helped by a lift strap, and the small footprint suits tight workspaces.
