Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X PowerConnect Welder, Activ8X Pipe One-Pak, Tweco
The Lincoln Electric Flextec 350X PowerConnect / Activ8X Pipe One-Pak is a pipe welding system for GMAW and FCAW work on the pipeline. The Activ8X Pipe feeder takes root-to-cap processes, including STT and pulsed MIG, into the field, while the PowerConnect power source accepts 200-600 V, single- or three-phase, and runs on generator power.
Its waveform-controlled STT Field arc is aimed at full penetration, complete fusion and open root passes on pipe, and neither control cables nor a sense lead are needed. The rugged, compact feeder is designed to withstand mud, rain and extreme heat or cold, holds an 8 in. diameter spool, stores 4 memory locations and runs CV DC+ only with solid and metal-core wire. The Flextec 350X power source adds stick and TIG capability, this One-Pak uses the Tweco configuration, and additional weld and work power leads are required.
