Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X Multiprocess Welder, Pulsed MIG, 500A, 3-Phase

The Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X is an industrial multiprocess welder power source for shipbuilding, construction and fabrication, with a 5-500 A output range and duty cycles of 100% at 450 A and 60% at 500 A. It covers stick, MIG, pulsed MIG, flux-cored, TIG and gouging on 380-600 V three-phase input, with CrossLinc control as standard.

Basic pulse MIG modes for aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel and metal-cored wire are standard, and connecting an ArcLink feeder opens multiple synergic pulse modes: pick the mode and wire speed and the machine sets the rest. CrossLinc changes weld parameters at the feeder instead of at the power source; the full benefit comes from pairing two CrossLinc devices, though across-the-arc, analog and digital feeders also work.

TVT (True Voltage Technology) offsets voltage drop on long cable runs, a voltage reduction device lowers open-circuit voltage for safety, and arc gouging works with 3/8 in. carbons. The electronics are fully encapsulated, the enclosure is IP23 rated, and the Desert Duty rating covers 131°F (55°C). The power source weighs 120 lbs, measures 19 in. H x 14 in. W x 27 in. L and comes without a power cord.
