Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X Multiprocess Welder, Flex Feed 84 Ready-Pak, 500A

The Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X multiprocess welder Ready-Pak mounts the 500 A power source and a Flex Feed 84 wire feeder on an inverter and feeder cart, together with a Magnum PRO Curve 400 MIG gun. It welds stick, MIG, flux-cored and TIG and handles arc gouging, with basic pulse MIG and CrossLinc control for shipyards, construction sites and fabrication shops.

The Flex Feed 84 wire feeder uses a MaxTrac wire drive, stores 4 user memories and shows settings on digital meters, and it is designed to feed wire evenly over long conduit runs. The Ready-Pak is delivered fully assembled on its cart and also includes a flowmeter regulator with gas hose plus the necessary cables and connectors. Flextec power sources connect to nearly all Lincoln Electric wire feeders through their feeder communication connections.

Basic pulse MIG (GMAW) is standard, with weld modes for aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel and metal-cored wire, and the 500X also runs stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW) and flux-cored welding. CrossLinc passes voltage or current adjustments through the standard weld cable, so the operator can make changes at the arc, hundreds of feet from the power source, with no control cable. True Voltage Technology compensates for voltage drop on long cable runs, and the IP23 enclosure and a Desert Duty rating up to 131°F (55°C) suit outdoor jobsites.
