Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X Multiprocess Welder, Activ8X One-Pak, 500A

The Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X / Activ8X One-Pak pairs the Flextec 500X multiprocess power source with the Activ8X wire feeder and a Magnum PRO Curve 400 welding gun, plus a wire guide and 2-roll drive sized for 0.052 in. cored wire. The 500X supplies up to 500 A with basic pulse MIG and CrossLinc control for shipyards, construction sites and fabrication shops.

The Activ8X feeder has an impact-resistant, flame-retardant case, a MaxTrac wire drive and tachometer feedback that keeps wire feed speed accurate. CrossLinc sends control signals through a standard weld cable, so voltage or current can be set at the arc, even hundreds of feet from the power source, with no control cable, which simplifies setup and reduces cable clutter.

The power source runs MIG, TIG, stick, flux-cored (FCAW) and gouging. Basic pulse MIG is standard, with weld modes for aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel and metal-core electrodes, and ArcLink-enabled synergic pulse modes are supported. Trayed and potted PC boards, an IP23 rating and Desert Duty certification up to 55°C suit outdoor sites, and the feeder connections allow use with nearly all Lincoln Electric wire feeders.
