Lincoln Electric LN-25X Extra Torque CrossLinc Wire Feeder, No Flowmeter, Tweco

The Lincoln Electric LN-25X Extra Torque wire feeder is the high-torque version of Lincoln's portable industrial LN-25X, made for flux-cored wire as large as 3/32 in. in demanding construction and shipbuilding work. On a compatible Lincoln power source, CrossLinc gives voltage control at the feeder through the existing weld cable, TVT offsets voltage drop over long weld cables, and this version has no flowmeter and a Tweco connector.

A higher-torque motor than the standard LN-25X keeps heavy flux-cored wire moving through long guns and tight cable bends, and the heavy-duty cast aluminum Maxtrac drive uses tachometer feedback for a consistent feed rate. TVT reads the arc voltage at the feeder and has the power source compensate for cable drop, so the voltage set at the feeder is the voltage at the arc.

Without a flowmeter, the feeder suits jobs where gas is handled separately or where self-shielded flux-cored (FCAW-S) wire runs with no shielding gas supply. It also has a trigger interlock switch, potted PC boards that resist moisture and corrosion, and a replaceable flame-resistant case.
