Lincoln Electric Prism Mobile Welding Fume Extractor Base Unit, MERV 14, K1653-4

The Lincoln Electric Prism Mobile is a low-vacuum mobile welding fume extractor for light to medium duty work in changing locations, and this K1653-4 base unit carries a disposable MERV 14 filter with a large 538 sq ft filter area. The capture device is chosen separately: one of several extraction arm models or a hose and hood set.

Airflow is 735 CFM with a flexible 10 ft or 13 ft extraction arm, and the real figure varies with arm length, fan type and system maintenance. The arms give motion and reach across multiple work areas, the unit rolls on front casters and rear wheels, and on/off operation can be manual or automatic.

The disposable, non-cleaning filter needs fewer changes thanks to its larger surface area, a color-coded indicator shows remaining filter life, and the main filter is replaced without tools. An internal spark arrestor acts as a pre-filter, catching larger-sized particulate and keeping sparks off the filter. Typical settings are small manufacturing, schools and training, fabrication, and plant maintenance and repair; the unit is not suitable for cutting or arc gouging.
