The Lincoln Electric Ranger 225 is a Kohler gas welder generator for field welding where utility power is unavailable. It provides DC output up to 225 A for stick, MIG, TIG and flux-cored welding and 10,500 W peak (9,000 W continuous) single-phase AC power for tools, lights and support equipment on construction sites, pipelines, farms and remote projects.
Ratings at 104°F (40°C) are 225 A at 25 V and 40% duty cycle and 210 A at 25 V and 100% duty cycle in DC constant current, plus 200 A at 20 V and 100% duty cycle in DC constant voltage. The CC current ranges are 120-225 A, 70-145 A and 50-90 A within a 50-225 A DC output range, and CV voltage adjusts from 15 to 25 V. Chopper Technology keeps the arc smooth and stable.
A 23 HP Kohler Command two-cylinder, four-cycle, overhead-valve air-cooled gasoline engine sits in a totally enclosed case with three service access doors, rated 76.4 dBA at 23 ft. Two 120 V duplex receptacles (NEMA 5-20R, 20 A each, 40 A total) and a 120/240 V NEMA 14-50R deliver the 60 Hz single-phase power, and the low-profile, balanced design suits truck-bed or undercarriage mounting.
