Lincoln Electric Vantage 549X Diesel Welder Generator, Deutz, 575A, 19 kW
The Lincoln Electric Vantage 549X is a turbocharged diesel welder generator with up to 575 A of welding output, IEC rated at 525 A, 41 V and 100% duty cycle. Its 49.4 hp Deutz TD2.9L4 engine supplies 19 kW of continuous three-phase and 11 kW of single-phase power, and CrossLinc control at the arc suits pipeline, structural and multi-process crews.
This engine-driven welder runs CC stick from 30-575 A, downhill pipe from 40-350 A, touch-start TIG from 20-350 A, CV wire from 10-45 V and arc gouging from 60-575 A with carbon rods up to 3/8 in. (9.5 mm). Processes include stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW) and pulsed MIG, flux-cored (FCAW-S, FCAW-G), TIG (GTAW), carbon arc gouging and submerged arc (SAW), with dedicated modes for stainless steel, aluminum and orbital pipe work with pulse.
CrossLinc adjusts voltage or current at the arc over a standard weld cable, and True Voltage Technology offsets voltage drop on long cable runs. The four-cylinder Deutz diesel meets EPA Tier 4 Final and draws from a 25 gal (94.6 L) tank. As a welder/generator it delivers 11,000 W at 120/240 V single-phase and 19,000 W at 240 V three-phase, continuous. The 1,662 lb (753 kg) unit measures 42 x 32.9 x 69 in. for trailer or truck-bed mounting, and LN-25 PRO and LN-15 wire feeders and a 125 ft remote output control are compatible.
