The Lincoln Electric VIKING 3250D FGS Hard Hat PAPR is a powered air-purifying welding respirator with an integrated hard hat, giving respiratory and head protection in one unit. It is a NIOSH-approved (42 CFR Part 84) loose-fitting, positive-pressure system with a HEPA-filtered intelligent blower, and its extended lithium-ion battery is rated for up to 16 hours of charge.

Its auto-darkening welding lens is an extra-large 12.5 sq in widescreen with Lincoln's 4C lens technology, which widens the range of colors and hues visible in the light and dark states, and it carries a 1/1/1/1 optical clarity rating. A clear integrated grind shield and shade 5 side windows enlarge the field of view in the open as well as the closed position. The hard hat uses a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) shell with a simple adjustable fit and meets CSA Z94.1 and ANSI/ISEA Z89.1.

Ambient shop air is drawn through a multi-component filter system whose HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates at 0.3 microns, then reaches the wearer as filtered, breathable air. The intelligent blower shows its status on an LED display, signals with audible and vibratory alerts and adjusts its speed automatically, while the hard hat shell adds industrial impact protection.
