Miller ArcReach 16 Portable Wire Feeder, Voltage-Sensing, Feeder Only, 301619
The Miller ArcReach 16 is a portable voltage-sensing wire feeder, and this base unit is the feeder only, with no MIG gun included. Because it senses arc voltage it works with almost any power source, though Miller pairs it best with the XMT 650; it takes 60 lb spools and 3/32 in. wire and has an isolated gouging stud.
Setup is just connecting the feeder to the weld lead. Isolated outputs let the operator switch between welding and gouging at the push of a button, with no lead swapping and no need to disconnect the feeder, and the gouging stud puts that connection at the point of use. This base package has a spool cover and IP23 rating, and it comes with a hanging bail and a cable holder.
Miller also offers this feeder preassembled on a shop cart (301664) or a field roller (301663) as separate packages: the cart sits low and moves easily around the shop, while the roller is meant for pan decking and other surfaces in the field. The large spool capacity and 3/32 in. wire support are there to minimize downtime and keep productivity high.
