Miller ArcReach Smart Feeder Remote Wire Feeder, RMD/Pulsed MIG, 300935

The Miller ArcReach Smart Feeder is a remote wire feeder for RMD, pulsed MIG, MIG and flux-cored welding that works up to 200 ft away from the welding power source without any control cable. Voltage, wire feed speed, gas type, wire diameter, material type and weld process are all chosen at the feeder, right at the joint.

Setup amounts to connecting the Smart Feeder to the weld leads, after which every control shifts to it automatically, so process changes happen at the work instead of back at the machine. With an impact-resistant case and no feeder control cables, the design is built to last in harsh environments and reduce downtime.

Miller says the 200 ft reach for RMD and pulsed MIG is twice the distance previously possible. Both processes help reduce weld failures, and on some stainless and chromoly applications they can remove the need for backing gas; conventional MIG (GMAW) and flux-cored welding run from the same feeder.
