Miller ArcReach Smart Feeder Remote Wire Feeder, Dinse Version, 300935001

The Miller ArcReach Smart Feeder in its Dinse version is a remote wire feeder for RMD, pulsed MIG, MIG and flux-cored welding, working as far as 200 ft from the welding power source with no control cable. Voltage, wire feed speed, gas type, wire diameter, material type and weld process are all set at the feeder at the weld joint.

Once the feeder is connected to the weld leads, every control shifts to it automatically, so changeovers are made at the work rather than at the machine. An impact-resistant case and the absence of feeder control cables are intended to keep it running in harsh environments with less downtime.

Miller says the 200 ft reach for RMD and pulsed MIG is twice the distance previously possible. Both processes help reduce weld failures, and on some stainless and chromoly applications they can remove the need for backing gas; conventional MIG (GMAW) and flux-cored welding run from the same feeder.
