Miller ArcReach Smart Feeder Remote Wire Feeder with Gas Flow Meter, 300935002

This Miller ArcReach Smart Feeder remote wire feeder is supplied with a gas flow meter. It handles RMD, pulsed MIG, MIG and flux-cored welding as far as 200 ft from the welding power source with no control cable, and voltage, wire feed speed, gas type, wire diameter, material type and weld process are all set at the feeder.

Setup is a matter of connecting the feeder to the weld leads, after which every control moves to it automatically and process changes happen at the joint. This configuration adds a gas flow meter, and the impact-resistant case and lack of feeder control cables are meant to keep the unit running in harsh environments with less downtime.

Miller says the 200 ft reach for RMD and pulsed MIG is twice the distance previously possible. Both processes help reduce weld failures, and on some stainless and chromoly applications they can remove the need for backing gas; conventional MIG (GMAW) and flux-cored welding run from the same feeder.
