The Miller Bobcat 230 Vanguard is a single-knob welder generator for stick and flux-cored welding, with one knob to set and view amperage and voltage. Auxiliary power stays at full output without interfering with the arc, usable peak power is rated at 11,000 W for at least 30 seconds, and the machine suits maintenance and repair, construction, farm and ranch work.

Miller says 7018 and 6010 stick electrodes give easy arc starts with less spatter. Because auxiliary power leaves the arc alone, jobsite tools keep running while welding, and the Accu-Rated 11,000 W peak can serve motor starting, plasma cutting and Millermatic MIG welders for at least 30 seconds. The engine-driven welder weighs over 100 pounds less than previous models and is 13% smaller.

Front-panel maintenance displays show when service is due, oil checks happen from the top beside the front panel, access panels need no tools, and fuel fill and oil drain/filter share one side. Reversed generator airflow and a ten-degree skewed rotor keep the welder/generator cooler with smoother power, and copper windings, lugged internal leads, armor with doors over the weld studs and receptacles and a lift hook in the center frame complete the build.
