Miller CST 282 Stick/TIG Welder, 280A, 208-575V, Tweco-Style Connectors, 907770
The Miller CST 282 is a compact stick and DC TIG welder that delivers 280 A for pipe and plate work in construction. Auto-Line technology runs it from 208 to 575 V, single- or three-phase, with no manual linking, and this version comes with Tweco-style output connectors.
Its universal output connector system takes Tweco-style or Dinse-style connectors, and switching between them requires no disassembly or adapters. Stick (SMAW) settings are tuned for XX10 and XX18 electrodes, each with a stiff and a soft option, for pipe or flat-position welding. Adaptive Hot Start eases electrode starts, Lift-Arc starts TIG (GTAW) without high frequency, and VRD lowers output voltage between welds.
Input can be 208 V, 220/230/240 V, 380/400/440 V, 460/480 V or 575 V at 50/60 Hz, and maximum open-circuit voltage is 103 VDC. The welder weighs 34.6 lbs, measures 18.5 in. L x 8 in. W x 13.5 in. H and has handles for carrying. It suits shipbuilding, construction, mobile fabrication and MRO, and welding education, and fits 4- and 8-pack racks that share one primary power cable.
