Miller 70 Series D-74 MPa Plus Dual Wire Feeder, Push-Pull Aluminum, 951292001

The Miller 70 Series D-74 MPa Plus is a dual wire feeder that expands on the 74D with push-pull aluminum capability, and it is optimized for Invision MPa or XMT MPa power sources. It runs MIG and flux-cored wire at 50-780 IPM, adds pulsed MIG with an MPa power source, and has digital meters and remote voltage control.

For aluminum welding, Alumination taps a push-pull system's extended reach to keep aluminum wire feeding consistent and dependable, and the dedicated XR-Aluma-Pro Plus and XR-Pistol Plus guns coordinate their wire feed speed with the feeder's. With an Invision MPa or XMT MPa, synergic pulsed MIG adjusts pulse parameters as wire speed changes, and Profile Pulse produces a stacked-dimes, TIG-like bead with adjustable ripple spacing. Accu-Mate seats the MIG gun power pin properly, and the digital meters show voltage, amperage and wire feed speed accurately, both preset and actual.

Shared 70 Series features include trigger hold for long welds, on-board burnback and motor ramp control for positive arc starts, a 16-gauge sheet metal housing for rough service and a toolless rotatable drive assembly that gives the wire a straight path. The MPa model adds a 24 VDC high-torque permanent-magnet motor, solid-state speed control with a brake circuit, quick-change drive rolls with a quick-release pressure arm and dual schedule control, and trigger schedule select switches schedules with a tap of the trigger between welds. For non-Miller boom setups, Miller offers remote control boxes and wire drive assemblies.
