Miller Filtair SWX-S Wall-Mount Welding Fume Extractor, Self-Cleaning, 10 ft Arm
The Miller Filtair SWX-S is a wall-mount welding fume extractor with a self-cleaning MERV 15 high-efficiency filter and a blower fan rated at 1,200 CFM, giving an accu-rated minimum of 875 CFM at the hood. This package includes a 10 ft extraction arm, 8 in. in diameter, for fabrication shops, repair work, manufacturing and training centers.
Self-cleaning models such as the SWX-S suit high arc-on time, heavy-fume processes and aluminum welding or galvanized material, and they are recommended for most dual-arm setups. A push of a button runs a one-minute cleaning cycle, the fume particles collect in an integrated particle bin, and releasing the latches lets the disposal drawer slide out for emptying; compressed air is required to run the cleaning mechanism.
The package includes the wall-mounted cabinet, a self-cleaning FilTek XL filter, a 115 V blower, 115 V on/off and cleaning control boxes and a mounting bracket for the blower and arm; 115 V wiring is not included. The 8 in. arm comes in 7, 10 and 12 ft lengths, and this version has the 10 ft arm. A 1 HP, 3450 RPM motor runs on 115 V, 1-phase, 60 Hz at approximately 11.9 A, the sound level is about 75 dBA at 5 ft, and the cabinet measures 33 x 27.25 x 33 in. and weighs 195 lbs.
