The Miller Millermatic 252 is a single-phase MIG welder for MIG and flux-cored welding with a 30-300 A output range, covering steel, stainless and aluminum from 22 gauge to 1/2 in. It is rated 200 A at 24 V and 60% duty cycle, rides on factory-installed running gear with a cylinder rack, and comes with a 15 ft MIG gun, regulator and work cable.

The machine also carries a 250 A rating at a 40% duty cycle, with 38 V maximum open-circuit voltage and 50-700 IPM (1.3-17.8 m/min) wire feed speed. It feeds .023-.045 in. solid and stainless wire and .030-.045 in. flux-cored wire through a heavy-duty two-roll aluminum drive with dual-groove, reversible rolls. Line voltage compensation keeps output consistent when input varies within 10%, Active Arc Stabilizer smooths starts, and Fan-On-Demand runs only when needed to cut noise and energy use.

For aluminum welding, Spoolmate 200, Spoolmatic and XR push-pull guns connect directly without an adapter, and Auto-Gun Detect recognizes which gun is in use, whether MIG, spool or push-pull, and loads its presets. Voltage and wire feed speed are set on digital meters, and the stitch, spot, burnback and preflow/postflow timers are preset separately for MIG and spool use. The welder weighs 205 lbs (93 kg), measures 30 x 19 x 40 in. (H x W x D) and suits fabrication, maintenance and repair, farm and light industrial work.
